One Tiny Monster Hoopla

This is Iris.  She is the monster I created for the One Tiny Monster Hoopla Swap.  She is based off a picture of a little monster I have floating around somewhere on my Pinterest.  I tried to link back to it but the link on my pin doesn't go anywhere...

Anyway, I wanted to make her a bit more dimensional and so I made her out of felt and stuffing then attached her to the hoop so as to still meet the swap requirements.

Two Tone Tote

 

I  decided to get re-acquainted with my sewing machine for the Friends of Craftster Secret Swap.  My super secret partner had mentioned wanting a bag and I just happened to stumble upon this awesome (meaning easy) tutorial from Make It & Love It for a tote.  

This was my first time making a bag/tote of any kind and I am really happy with the results.  This was a great project for novice sewer such as myself.  The one thing I realized that I really need to work on is cutting fabric.  I must buy a yardstick!!!
