Guilty Pleasures

We all have guilty pleasures mine are in the form of bad TV, even worse movies, beads and tiny things. I don't know what it is with me and tiny things. One of my favorite online stores is called Tiny Things are Cute http://www.tinythingsarecute.com/and I couldn't agree more! I love to peruse the merch and add things to my wist. Everytime I order from her the orders get bigger and bigger. One of the last things I ordered was a tiny box of treasures. I am in love with this thing. It came in the mail and I was so excited to open it. Inside was a little box FULL of all kinds of tiny little things. It had some itty bitty plastic compasses, mini fake money, a bunch of gears and such from a watch, and so many other things. I have actually taken everything out and ooohed and ahhed over it more than once. I know, I know I am a complete and total dork! It's okay though I like myself like this :)

As for bad TV, I think I watch the worst shows and love every minute of them. Gossip Girl and 90210 are my ulitimate guilty pleasures. I am even now watching some Laguna Beach/The Hills spinoff called the City. I get so wrapped up in the plots that I actually find myself TALKING to the TV!!! Maybe it's cause there is no one else there to talk to, but I think it's getting worse. I DVRed another new show on MTV called Tool Academy which I am itching to watch. I guess it's where girls send their toolish boyfriends somewhere to learn how to act like, well like non tools I guess. They trick the guys into thinking they are competeing in like a Mr. Awesome type of thing in order to get them there. For some reason this really seems funny to me. I mean if your bf acted like a complete moron jackass ALL THE TIME don't you think you would dump him???? Maybe the girls are the ones who are the real tools here. I am also a total reality TV whore. I don't know why I like it so much, it brings me so much pleasure to watch people act like idiots for the world to see. The Real World, Survivor, America's Next Top Model, I mean this list could go on and on. Now don't get me wrong I do watch some decent shows such as Lost, House and quite a bit of Discovery Channel, so therefore I am not a complete idiot.

Movies. I like lots of movies but when I am in Blockbuster I tend to gravitate towards the B straight to DVD movies that no one has ever heard of. I am not sure why since I don't think I could even list five of them that were actually good! Okay well I can name two that I remember and that I actually like Undiscovered (this may be cause the guy in the movie is pretty hot) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0434424/ and Thirteen http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0328538/ which actually was kinda scary in a weird way. I remember acting like these girls when I was 16 and even then I wasn't that bad! Makes me nervous for when my little girl is a teenager. I am not sure why I like movies that are destined to be really bad. It's like throwing money away, I mean no one has ever heard of them for a reason right??? Maybe this is why when I am going to watch a movie with someone else I usually let them pick cause if it was left up to me no one would EVER want to watch a movie with me! That would be sad.....

Seriously I know I am dork, I don't need you to remind me.......

It's the new year, time for new beginnings....

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a happy and safe holiday season. Mine was hectic of course and a little strange what with splitting up time with the kids. Not having the kids on Christmas day was very strange but went better than I thought it would. I kept busy which helped keep my mind off it. It was the same deal as not having Adia on her actual birthday this year. I guess I better get used to it since this is how things are going to be for now on. I just don't like to share!!!

The kids had a good Christmas and were spoiled by everyone as usual. I always dread this time of year because I never know what to do with all the presents. I scaled back on what I bought them both because we have no room and because money is tighter this year. They still got a ton of stuff, lots of it has been put away and will remain unopened until a later date. I love to put things away and they forget about them, then when I finally pull it out it's like getting a brand new toy all over again!!! This is also good if I need something to distract them for more than five minutes at a time. All in all I am VERY glad that Christmas is done for another year. Landon can't stop talking about Santa though, so I continue to milk the be a good boy or Santa won't come. I will continue to milk it for as long as I can too.....
We rang in the new year with friends and I have hopes that this year will be better than last year. I know there will be new stresses to deal with that come along with all the changes that have been made but I think (hope) that things will work out. I didn't make any resolutions since I never keep them anyway, I just hope to be able to meet all these new challenges head on and hopefully not be so stressed! We shall see. 2009 is definitely a new start for me.

With all the holiday craziness I have let my crafting fall to the wayside and I really need to get at it again. It seems to help destress me and keeps me busy. I have signed up for three low stress swaps. Another Altoid tin with a Valentines day theme, a raffle style swap, and an owl themed swap. I have ideas mapped out for all three of them and am going to get started tonight. I will post pictures of what gets made at a later date.

I am also going to try to start working out. It's hard cause I have to do it in the mornings and I have such a hard time dragging my lazy butt out of bed. Especially this time of year when it's still dark and cold. I need to start dreaming of a bikini ready body or something! Someone please send some motivation my way! I have lost 12 pounds since the split, not sure how that happened but whoo hoo all the same! My jeans are all too big, which is not such a bad thing. Too bad I can't afford to go buy new ones!!

New Ink!

I got a new tattoo on Saturday! It's my Christmas present to myself. I have been wanting to get this done for the last three years and I'm happy that I finally have done it. The next will be some starts on my feet.
It's starting to get scabby now so sorry for the kinda yucky picture. I was a bit nervous that it would hurt here on my wrist but it literally took 10 minutes and was no big deal. Now both my kiddos are forever inked on my skin YAY!

Leap Frog

Maybe I'm just stupid but I seriously cannot figure this out. It is driving me crazy, I could probably sit here for 5 hours and keep clicking on these stupid frogs and still make no progress. Maybe you will have better luck than I have had. If anyone figures this thing out let me know please and thank you...
